FAMILY surf trips home and abroad are high on the agenda for the Reavleys in their newly converted VW T5.
After hiring a camper, Dr Paul Reavley and his wife Rachel from Bristol, were convinced a bespoke campervan conversion was the right route to realize their dream of five years.
Chilli Jam Vans helped Paul to source the perfect base van to convert and once that was done the long wheel based vehicle was transformed from a builder’s van to a standout camper.
Paul said: “My finished van looks amazing. I’ve looked at a lot of vans along the way to getting here and the quality of Brett, Kat and Sam’s work is exceptional with outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail, I could not be happier with the finished product. They nailed it! If you’re looking to convert a van, definitely go and talk to Chilli Jam Vans.”
The conversion included a SCA 192 LWB roof which was colour coded in black to match the body of the Transporter.
New genuine Volkswagen windows were fitted as well as Chilli Jam Vans’s full monty lining package in anthracite grey and munic ash. The van was also silent coated using mats that uses mass loading to lower panel resonance and absorb structural vibrations.
Luxurious Amtico flooring in bleached elm was laid on a new 12mm ply wood together with a 130cm, three-seater, RIB sliding bed in Tasimo cloth.
This van also had the Webasto 49 litre fridge freezer drawer fridge in the light blue and bamboo kitchen that was specifically adapted to fit the drawer fridge.
To complement the kitchen and floor colour palette the couple opted for tailor made insulated blackout blinds in teak which take minimal space in the window yet they are made with the highest quality fabrics.
